After the advent of this revolutionary approach which was initially led by Dr. Raoul Palmer in 1940 followed by tremendous works of Dr. Kurt Semm, Dr. Maurice – Dr. Antoine Bruhat and Dr. Harry Reich minimally invasive surgery covers almost all aspects of our specialty.
However, the main gynecological indications remain unattended. This training programme is mainly intended to disseminate Laparoscopic techniques among gynecologists.
Having been in the field of Laparoscopic since 2000 Dr. Urmila has done more than 5000 Gynaec Laparoscopic surgeries which include advanced procedures like total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Laparoscopic Myomectomy, Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy, Laparoscopic Surgery, in frozen Pelvis and previous surgeries, Laparoscopic Tubal Recanalisation, Laparoscopic Pelvic Floor repair.
She has presented papers in Laparoscopy and pelvic reconstructive surgeries in various CME programmes & conferences & has been a faculty in International, National, and State Conferences.
The aims and objectives of establishing the College are to promote education, training, research and spread of knowledge in the field of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Reproductive health, Family Welfare and related areas. The College will be actively involved in National Family Welfare Programs and will advice Fellows to actively associate and co-operate with Central and State Government Health authorities and corporate bodies in implementing all national programmes of Family Planning including training of paramedicals and health personnel.
